MeetingSift is an enterprise application, and thus our design reflected this knowledge of our audience. MeetingSift’s meeting participants would be accessing the platform primarily through mobile devices, so we developed the site mobile first.
Using MeetingSift’s newly-established brand identity as a jumping-off point, I started to establish the visual style of the site by presenting the client with demo site. Using feedback from the client, we revised option two until we both felt the color treatment, layout style, and calls to action adhered to both their target audiences and the overall MeetingSift identity.
As mobile browsing continues to eclipse desktop surfing, it becomes increasingly apparent that building specific apps for the major mobile platforms is an arduous and expensive undertaking. Why not build a website once and have it intuitively scale to thousands of different screen sizes—from a smartphone to a 27” monitor? MeetingSift’s meeting participants would be accessing the platform primarily through mobile devices, so we developed the site to be extremely for people using mobile devices to access and use the site.
More control with WordPress
Any competent content management system (CMS) allows users to store, organize, and publish content—all from a central interface. We choose WordPress in most cases because it’s so incredibly friendly.
Integration with existing tools
MeetingSift was already using third party tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics and SnapEngage, so we made sure to integrate this tools into the new site.
Content blocks for client ease of use
We want to empower our clients with flexibility and configurability, so when MeetingSift approached me, I jumped at the chance to sink our teeth into delivering a site as easy-to-use behind the scenes as it is for the end user. By using content blocks, we give MeetingSift complete control and maneuverability; moving a call-to-action button or a feed of Instagram photos up the page is as easy as a drag-and-drop.
MeetingSift is looking to expand their marketing strategy to include video, original graphics, photos, and content marketing via Meeting Insights.
Working with an incredible client always helps the process go more smoothly. The collaboration level was exceedingly high, and both of us were constantly bouncing ideas off each other to help make this site more beautiful and useable. I really enjoyed helping build out the marketing site for such a great local startup. I’m excited to see where they go next.
